Lead Pipe Specification Engineer

Type of Employment: Contract

Role & Responsibilities:

• Creating, updating, and maintaining pipe material specifications.
• Use of Microsoft Office tools to produce documents and calculations.
• Work with systems and commodity engineers to understand needs and create new specifications.
• Interface with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tool owners and integrate pipe specifications into the design process.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Must have an Engineering degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Must have Canadian P. Eng License
• Experience with the selection, classification, and procurement of piping commodities such as pipe, tubing, fittings, valves, and inline components.
• Knowledge of ASME Section III and B31.1 piping analysis minimal wall calculations. 
• Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and other pipe/component specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
